Refunds & returns
Plainly stated, because nobody should have to guess. If your situation is not covered below, write to Sam — he would rather sort it out than stand behind a policy.
Ebooks
Refundable within 14 days of purchase, provided the book has been downloaded fewer than twice. Refunding an ebook revokes its download links and removes it from your library — that is what makes the refund possible at all.
If a file will not open on your device, that is not a refund situation in the first instance: say what device you are using and Sam will get you a format that works.
Hardcovers
Returnable within 30 days of delivery in unread, resaleable condition. Return postage is paid by you unless the book arrived damaged or the wrong title was sent, in which case Sam covers it and no return may even be necessary.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method once the book is back, usually within five business days of arrival.
Bundles
A hardcover-and-ebook bundle is refunded on the terms of whichever parts you are returning. Sending the hardcover back while keeping the ebook refunds the difference, not the whole bundle.
Damaged or lost in the post
Tell Sam and he will replace it. Photographs help for damage but are not a condition of anything. See shipping for delivery estimates before assuming a parcel is lost — international post can be slow.
